Emma C. Henschel
Nashville born and raised, I grew up to love Tennessee’s rolling hills, live music on Franklin’s historic square, and biking along 30A through the elegant neighborhoods of Seaside, Alys, and Rosemary beach.
At Wheaton College, the varsity swim team was family, and a Global Art History course revealed the beauty of traditional and classical design around the world.
While studying at Notre Dame, my design process was shaped by urban sketching on site visits, pulling from timeless classical precedents, and traditional place-making tools for long-lasting community identities.
